240 HUB Launch
James Town is a vibrant and growing community, and we are excited to launch the City’s first Share and Reuse Hub, the 240 HUB. The hub was opened to the St. James Town residents on the 9th of August with a soft launch. Click here to read more and view photos.
Repair Café 2019

SJT Neighbourhood Improvement Area
On July 17, 2019, Members’ Motion 9.26 was presented to Mayor John Tory and Toronto City Council by Councillor Wong-Tam on behalf of the St. James Town community (seconded by Councillor Mike Layton), to designate St. James Town as a Neighbourhood Improvement (NIA) as part of Toronto Stronger Neighbourhoods Stratergy 2020. Welcoming Wassim to the SJT Family
Wassim Abboud recently joined The Corner family as Coordinator, Engagement and Outreach. He will work primarily with the 240 HUB.  Wassim started his career in the humanitarian sector in 2013 with an international non-governmental organization in Lebanon. He worked in designing and implementing multiple projects to support families in need who fled their lands due to armed conflicts in their countries.
Wassim loves travelling and has visited more than 40 countries. He moved to Toronto in 2016 and believes that it is one of the best places that he has ever lived. In addition to a B.A. in Marketing and Advertising Wassim completed his studies in Project Management at George Brown College.
