Since its opening in 2011, The Corner’s mission has always been to provide residents of St. James Town an inclusive space where they can access in-person health and social services, and community programs with the goal of creating a sense of belonging and building a vibrant neighbourhood.  After the pandemic hit, The Corner had to make some necessary changes.

With COVID-19 cases back on the rise in Toronto, some in-person services at The Corner that had resumed are now either restricted to via phone or are on hold.  Here is a list of some of the changes:

*Nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice nurses who integrate clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine in order to assess, diagnose and manage patients in primary health care settings and acute care populations, as well as ongoing care for populations with chronic illness. (
