The 2020 St. James Town Leadership Forum was held on Friday, November 20, over zoom. The event was a follow-up from the first leadership forum in 2017, and is now envisaged as an ongoing annual event.
The 2020 Leadership forum, Reimagining: Our Neighborhood. Our collaboration. Our impact was an opportunity to share St. James Town’s unique service delivery model and its impact, brainstorm with leaders, and strengthen and identify new partnerships. The event was wildly successful with 84 leaders attending from a variety of sectors: non-profits, businesses, landlords, faith-based institutions, residents, educational institutions, public sector, and funders.
The event featured lively discussions in various breakout rooms that allowed for more in-depth conversations. The event highlighted the value of having a space to bring leaders together for collective planning, and identified valuable opportunities for community growth that will help inform initiatives and planning in 2021 and beyond.
